Listening To Your Body’s Needs

Recently I could notice the gentle signs from my body telling me to slow down. I could feel the niggling aches and pains, I felt like I couldn’t get enough sleep, and could feel my body craving some downtime.

 

It was an important reminder that I needed – our bodies cannot function at 100% all the time, and its so important we start to tune into our bodies and listen to what it needs. So, what did I do? I simply took a week to give my body time to rest and recover. I focused on gentle movements, with walks and yoga, took time to meditate and focused on my breath. It was amazing to see how my body reacted – my mind was clearer, my breath was deeper, and my body felt relaxed. 

 

I know in today’s world it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, but sometimes our bodies just can’t keep up. And when we ignore our body’s warning signs is when we start to burn out. Particularly with so much illness going around, I know many are feeling rundown. So, I encourage you to tune into your body. What is it asking for this week?
