The Glow Project is about giving some GLOW back to the community. Its focus, aim and reason for existence is to ensure that ALL children have access to information about their health and wellness to empower them to GLOW.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) Updated October 2017
• 41 million children under the age of 5 were overweight or obese in 2014
• Over 340 million children and adolescents aged 5-19 were overweight or obese in 2016
• 20% of children and adolescents aged 4-17 experience a form of mental disorders
Their health and wellness should not be dictated by their circumstances or environment. Every child deserves a great start in life.
Dani tipped the scales at 100kg at the age of 12 years old which caused a lot of challenges in childhood, adolescents and adulthood with her health. Having experienced obesity, anorexia and anxiety, Dani does not want any child to have to endure the same thing that she went through so wants to dedicate her self in making a difference to as many children as she can and thus THE GLOW PROJECT was born.
The Glow Project will have a strong community presence and participates in and coordinate initiatives and activities that align with promoting and supporting children’s health and wellness.
The Glow Project will focus on promoting movement through a fun an interactive way teaching children to be mobile and strong as well as teaching them breathing techniques and mindset techniques in how to deal with stress. This is our way of giving back to the community so will be of no cost to the school. For more information or to organise our team to come to your school please email email@example.com
