In Australia, it’s estimated that 45 per cent of people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. 1 In any one year, around 1 million Australian adults have depression, and over 2 million have anxiety.
We want to shine a light on mental health and make sure that people aren’t afraid to talk about it if they are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress
Ice baths and breathing are great natural tools that can be used to strengthen your nervous system so that you can help to manage and reduce your symptoms.
We will be hosting a group ice bath and breathing session at Rafiki by the sea on the 20th of November to raise money for Livin who are a not for profit organisation who are breaking the stigma on mental health #itaintweaktospeak. All of the proceeds from the day will be going to them.
Not only is the gesture of serving your community a selfless act – the act of giving also has a biomechanical affect on our brain – it releases dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin. These hormones are responsible for boosting your mood, helping you get great sleep, digestion just to name a few and are the contributors of the feeling of happiness. The more we give back the greater we feel. So feel good by doing good.
Email me on firstname.lastname@example.org to book tickets we will be limited to 25 spots and each ticket will be $25.
